About Sammie
I’m currently in my seventh year of teaching. I’ve been privately tutoring for about three years. I’m a nationally board certified teacher. I am certified in all subjects pre-K through sixth grade. All social sciences, six through 12 in both Texas and Maryland. I am science of teaching reading and English language learner certified in Texas. The past three years I have taught at a two-way immersion school. The majority of my private students have either been English language learners or bilingual.

Every student learns differently. As a teacher I have gotten the chance to work with all different types of learners. I find what makes them successful. Building on their strengths and improving their weaknesses. My classroom motto is “ take risks make mistakes learn something grow your brain” I use this same motto when tutoring. Guiding students to tackle their academic adventure with tenacity. Growing from where they are to where they can be.
