About Kayla
Hi there! My name is Kayla and I am a Bachelor of Education student specializing in history and geography, I have knowledge of syllabus, curriculum, and lesson planning to achieve outcomes and goals.
I am passionate about guiding others to achieve their goals and do as best as they can.
While I am new to tutoring, I have experience in the classroom, behavior management, and creating lessons tailored to student needs.
My teaching style is encouraging and supportive while still teaching discipline and student accountability. I don't believe in making students feel embarrassed when they don't understand something, I believe in creating a relaxed and supportive learning environment where the students feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes and grow at their own pace.

I am a second-year student of the Bachelor of Education specializing in history and geography. I am offering lessons at reduced rates as I am new to tutoring, however, I have experience teaching in classrooms.
My teaching methodology is to create a welcoming and comfortable learning environment for students, asking questions, making mistakes are POSITIVE as they are opportunities to learn.
My lessons are for grades 7, 8, and 9.
Strategies I use:
- I do, we do, you do
- Explicit goal setting
- Inquiry-based learning
- Tailored to where the student is at
- Tailored worksheets to build their skills
Lessons will be held online over Microsoft Teams, however, we can also do sessions at a library. Lesson length and frequency can be discussed (location says "students place", however, because I use public transport, I can only meet students in public locations, we can discuss where the meet).
