About Ayla
I have 7 years of experience teaching Spanish, supported by a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Latin American Cultural Studies. My passion for Spanish began with its warmth, rhythm, and ability to connect people across cultures. Over the years, I have guided learners studying Spanish for travel, relocation, academic success, and personal enrichment. Teaching Spanish is meaningful because it helps students communicate in new environments with confidence.
My teaching style is structured, interactive, and encouraging. I focus on grammar clarity while also building strong speaking comfort through conversation practice. Students receive gentle correction, clear explanations, and steady guidance so they feel supported at every stage. I believe language learning works best when learners feel motivated and respected. Lessons are always adapted to the student’s pace and goals.
Outside teaching, I stay connected through Spanish literature, cultural exploration, and ongoing study of Latin American traditions. I love seeing students transform into confident communicators. Spanish becomes much easier when students learn it in a structured and supportive way that feels practical from the beginning. In my lessons, I focus on building strong foundations in verb conjugation, sentence formation, vocabulary development, and pronunciation clarity. Students practice speaking early through everyday dialogues and real-life roleplays that make Spanish feel useful and memorable. I create a calm learning environment where mistakes are welcomed as part of growth. Confidence grows when learners feel encouraged and guided step by step. My goal is to make Spanish feel approachable and enjoyable.
Each lesson is personalized to the student’s level and goals. Beginners focus on essential vocabulary, basic verb patterns, simple sentence building, and clear pronunciation. Intermediate learners strengthen conversation flow, listening comprehension, reading fluency, and more complex grammar such as past tenses and common subjunctive structures. Advanced students refine expressive speaking, cultural nuance, academic writing, and deeper vocabulary through discussion-based practice. I use interactive exercises, conversation cards, and consistent feedback to ensure steady progress.
Over time, learners gain confidence speaking Spanish with comfort and clarity. They feel more connected to Spanish-speaking cultures and more capable in real-world situations. My goal is to help students enjoy Spanish while building lasting fluency. Spanish should feel empowering, enriching, and full of possibility.
