About Naomi
My journey in programming began with curiosity about building functional solutions from logical steps. I pursued a B.Sc in Computer Science and an M.Sc in Software Engineering, gaining both foundational knowledge and advanced technical expertise. Over 8 years, I have taught students ranging from beginners to advanced coders, helping them develop analytical reasoning, problem-solving skills, and coding confidence.
I teach with clarity, structured guidance, and hands-on engagement. Lessons include stepwise explanations, interactive examples, and practical exercises that allow learners to experiment, make mistakes safely, and grow their skills. I encourage independent thinking and curiosity, emphasising understanding over rote memorisation.
Beyond teaching, I remain involved in programming projects, emerging technologies, and code development. This keeps lessons relevant and exciting, allowing students to see the real-world applications of their skills. Witnessing learners progress from uncertainty to confident problem-solvers is immensely rewarding and motivates me to continually refine my teaching approach.

Programming is a skill that combines logic, creativity, and problem-solving, and my lessons aim to make these concepts intuitive and practical. Students learn coding fundamentals, algorithm design, data structures, and software development principles through structured guidance, real-life examples, and hands-on exercises. Lessons emphasise understanding the rationale behind coding patterns, fostering independent thinking, analytical skills, and confidence in creating functional programs.
I tailor lessons to individual skill levels. Beginners focus on basic syntax, loops, conditionals, and problem-solving strategies, establishing a strong foundation. Intermediate learners explore object-oriented programming, modular design, debugging, and algorithmic thinking, reinforcing structure and analytical capability. Advanced learners engage with complex algorithms, software architecture, project planning, and optimisation, preparing for academic or professional challenges. Each session integrates guided practice, problem-solving exercises, and discussion to strengthen understanding and application skills.
Programming lessons cultivate analytical thinking, structured reasoning, and practical problem-solving beyond coding. Students learn to approach challenges methodically, debug errors, and develop creative solutions. My goal is to empower learners to confidently write code, solve complex problems, and develop skills applicable to real-world software projects and lifelong learning in technology.
