I’m a Spanish language educator and journalist with a passion for both teaching and storytelling. I am a native Spanish speaker. I bring extensive experience and a unique background in both teaching and writing in Spanish. I've taught Spanish language, literature, communication, and writing skills at institutions like New York University, Bowdoin College, and Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. Beyond the classroom, my work as a journalist and editor in Spanish gives me a practical, real-world understanding of the language. I offer students theoretical knowledge and the tools to communicate effectively and creatively in Spanish, whether for academic or professional purposes.
I care deeply about helping students communicate in Spanish with culturally rich, nuanced, relevant content. With my experience as a translator, writer, and editor, I can teach the subtleties of grammar, style, and cultural context, making my lessons engaging and comprehensive. My goal is to help students learn Spanish with academic rigor while also gaining the confidence to use it in culturally appropriate and meaningful ways.
