About Olly
I have always loved Geography - from my own secondary school experience through to teaching the subject in classrooms myself - my passion for the subject has never changed! From the physical geography of places I visit, to the geopolitics in the news, I really am a Geography geek!
I studied Geography and International Development at Sussex University before going on to complete a Secondary Geography PGCE at St Mary's University.
I am comfortable and confident teaching and tutoring KS3, GCSE and A Level Geography. My teaching experience has mainly been built up in schools in and around London, and I have been fortunate to have spent the last 3 academic years working in a department that regularly achieves above the national average at both GCSE and A Level - something I am incredibly proud of!

Whether you need help with content, concepts and knowledge, how to access higher marks on exam papers or just confidence - I can help!
I arrive at each session with an approachable and adaptable manner so that sessions can be best tailored to your needs! I have extensive knowledge of both GCSE and A Level Geography curriculums and am able to use this to help guide students in areas they may be lacking in confidence.
A typical session will involve discussing the topic for the day with some questioning aimed at establishing gaps in knowledge. I then have an extensive bank of resources we can work through together to help build confidence in content. Depending on the goals of the tutee, sessions usually finish by recapping what we have looked at or, in most cases, looking how to apply what has been learnt to exam style questions.
