About Chantal
Hi there! I’m a professional actress, singer, producer and accredited Speech & Drama tutor with a lifelong passion for performance and instilling a love of the arts in young people of today. I’ve been performing since the age of five and later earned my Associate Diploma in Speech & Drama (ATCL) through Trinity College London. From there I went on to tutor students at some of the leading private schools in Queensland including St Hildas and The Southport Preparatory School.
For my own acting journey, I studied acting full-time at the New York Film Academy, where I trained with leading film and television industry professionals, some of whom I have now worked with professionally. To this day I regularly perform across theatre and screen, and run my own production company, with a goal of creating more opportunities in the arts.
I’m deeply passionate about my craft and helping young people to build their confidence, develop technique, and pursue their creative dreams, because life is too short not to!

As an actress myself, I often bring my methods to life with clear, visual demonstrations to enhance your understanding and provide examples and encouragement.

Perfect! Just amazing! Shes so kind and sweet and takes her time getting to know you and letting you know herself, making the whole atmosphere just so light and breezy. Ive always been one to be extremely anxious and nervous for video calls but i feel so comfortable and myself with Chantal even after only 2 video calls. And not to mention how good she is at finding your strengths and weaknesses and helping you evaluate on them significantly. So awesome and i cant wait to work with her more!!!

- Teaching Ethan over this last year and a half has been an absolute joy! Perfect! I have been working with Chantal for approximately six months. She is a very patient and professional acting teacher. She always likes to give a summary at the end of each lesson, which allows me to understand what areas I should improve on and what we have done in class. My clarity of words and understanding of different characters improved significantly after these six months. I really appreciate working with her!

Chantal is an amazing teacher. Her knowledge, kindness, and patience made each lesson so worthwhile. Each time we met I came away feeling encouraged and had direction with what skills to work on. Chantal is an awesome, caring and considerate teacher. She is incredibly knowledgeable and understands students learning styles and needs. She fosters a supportive, encouraging environment which enables students to learn in a stress free setting. Chantal is incredibly hard working and listens to the needs of those she teaches to help them achieve their goals.
Chantal has been my speech and drama teacher since 2017. I so look forward to our lessons each week as we work on acting skills - voice, movement, facial expressions - and discuss poems, prose and all sorts of different literature. Speech and drama with Chantal has not only helped me develop my acting abilities but has helped me to become a more confident public speaker and in my english classes at school. Miss Ward makes lessons fun and interesting, whilst also creating a safe environment so that I feel comfortable to experiment and thus grow both my ability and confidence. I would highly recommend Chantal to anyone looking for a speech and drama teacher.
Chantal has been a private tutor to my child for almost 3 years, and I can not recommend her enough. She is highly skilled in all areas of drama and acting and provides insightful instruction that is tailored to my child's needs. Chantal is trustworthy, honest and personable. She provides an experienced but fresh approach that is well suited to both primary and high school students.
Chantal was my personal acting coach back in 2019. I had never had acting lessons before and was quite self conscious about acting in front of others.
