I graduated from Berklee college of Music with a BA in music and have 17+ year of experience playing guitar, singing, songwriting, and producing music. I have 3+ years of experience tutoring guitar and vocal to beginner and intermediate level students (1-on-1 /Group Class). Students' age range from grade school students to young adults.
Genre : Blues, Funk, Rnb, Pop, Rock, Ballad
Goal-oriented approach: Students have various goals in what they like to achieve in my class. Whether you would like to just learn to play a couple popular songs on guitar, perfect your skills on improvisation, or learn to accompany singing with guitar, we will work together to set a learning goal we can achieve in 4 lesson's time. Evaluating students' current level help determine what step to take next in achieving learning goal and showing quantifiable result.
Guitar Lesson:
4 Intensive lesson plan customized for your level and learning goal .
Beginner:
-Music theory
-Basic Guitar techniques: Finger Picking, Fingerstyle playing
-Chord Structure and progression
-Customized goal: Ex. Be able to play song "xxx" by the end of the month, improving finger picking pattern, knowing 5 open chord formations
-Recording with professional equipment
Intermediate:
-Guitar improv and comping
-Jamming with different musicians
-Use of computer software and gear to Jam and record
-Guitar arranging skills in different genres
-Recording with professional equipment
Advance:
Music production- Songwriting/ Arranging
-Use of Logic Pro to record, arrange, and produce music
-Record different instruments with professional equipment
-How to reference arrangement ideas and incorporate similarity
